Albany Home Décor, Monaghan has been at the forefront of décor retailing in the North East for over 50 years and has truly earned its reputation as a destination store for décor enthusiasts and trade professionals.
History and background
The Albany store is a family run business since its establishment in 1970, when Packie Bridie McAdam set up the Modern Décor store in Market St in Monaghan town. Since then the business has upscaled and expanded a number of times. The business became one of the early members of the Albany Home Décor Group in the 1990’s and has played a leading role in this group ever since. Since April 2017 the business has permanently moved to the current location at the Rossmore Factory site on Dublin Rd.

Advice & Expertise
All staff are trained and experienced in product knowledge, problem solving and colour consultancy. Albany Interiors also provide a full design and specification service in-store for domestic, trade and commercial customers. Albany also has an extensive paint tinting centre with seven separate colour tinting systems capable of producing an almost infinite range of colours and finishes. This tinting lab also allows for a comprehensive offering in industrial and performance coatings to the trade and manufacturing sector in primers, enamel coatings, floor paints, fire retardant, anti-oxidant, bio and eco-friendly paints.

Albany houses the best in décor brands from paints and wallpapers to Curtains &; Blinds, and homewares accessories. At Albany the customer is treated to one of Irelands largest collections of stock wallpaper in various styles and tastes from the dramatic to the traditional and an extensive wallpaper book bar with 1,000’s of samples including huge wall murals. This department also contains an extensive fabrics showroom with exclusive ranges from all the leading design brands in every style from retro, to contemporary and modern to traditional styles.
We also have an extensive window blinds centre with a full suite of custom made blinds a variety of fabric options for rollers, roman blinds, venetians, vertical blinds & motorised Blinds & Curtain Rails for the home, office or industrial and commercial settings.
