Ambledown Cottage is a quirky pizza restaurant situated in the beautiful village of Glaslough, Co Monaghan, beside Castle Leslie Estate. Down the hill on the left at Castle entrance, Ambledown Cottage has been open for nine years and is a must-visit experience when you are in Monaghan.
What began as a wee cutesy parlour for afternoon tea, Ambledown cottage has expanded and become a phenomenal success story as an exciting, quirky, rustic, ever-so-popular eatery with fantastic pizza, salads, desserts and the odd surprise! Over the years gorgeous outdoor “dine in-rooms” have been added in the back garden, which are ideal for accommodating separate parties, family reunions and special occasions.
A Unique Experience
Re-opening in summer 2021, all guidelines will be fully implemented so people can have total comfort and confidence with allocated spaces allowing for social distancing etc.
New, more spacious seating areas will be the new norm… as they say!
All rooms are filled with antiques, log fires, good food and a warm welcome. We have developed our gourmet pizzas using only the best toppings, cheeses and meats, to make our quality renowned pizzas in a cost-effective BYOB environment.
