Just 10 minutes from the town of Castleblayney in the heart of rural county Monaghan, lies King’s Forge Glass studio. On the hillside of Mullyash mountain with panoramic views of the beautiful Monaghan countryside, artist Grace Brennan creates bespoke handmade fused glass art.
Learn about the colourful history of the old blacksmith’s Forge and cottage, lovingly restored by Grace and retaining many original features, now a working glass studio and Grace’s home.
Walking into Grace’s studio is like stepping into another world, a world filled with colour and light, where nothing can be rushed.
Bring home an authentic piece of Monaghan, with a hand-crafted piece of fused glass. There is a wide range of colourful pieces available, from small hanging decorations at €7, up to large framed wall pieces, with lots of options in between, including wall vases, sun catchers, candle holders etc. Or you might choose to commission a special piece, for yourself or someone special.
With prior booking, and subject to Covid restrictions, Grace offers intimate glass making sessions with an opportunity to create a bespoke piece of glass under her guidance. Relax into the slower pace of this creative life and learn a new skill. The secret to fusing glass is time, patience, and a little bit of magic!
