Glaslough is a beautiful wee village replete with beautiful wee gems of small business activities.

Pocono is the epi-centre of activity in the village.  Two years ago it rebranded with a distinctly Italian flavour. THE best gelato, with sumptuous flavours and toppings, excellent Italian Trombetta coffee, great baristas on hand, Italian pizzas and a top notch deli bar with fresh offerings daily. Plus all your regular daily requirements and all day take away options. Bright as a button and clean as a whistle ... and that’s just the owner, Roisin!!

A Must Visit when in Monaghan

In 2014 a smart- arse woman (aka the Mammy of the MAM) nick-named the shop as Koyote Ugly (remember the movie with all the drop-dead gorgeous female bar staff who had a penchant for dancing on the bar benches?) well, it just sort of happened that all the staff are female. All gorgeous, all drop dead class attitudes, great team work, big smiles, funny chatter and banter… watch out for that Joanna one … she will have the conniptions coming on hard and fast!!

Its not unusual to see the queues waiting for the craic with the staff as much as their much-needed coffee hit, fab pizzas and the molto bene gelato.  O Sole Mio, here we go!!
