Our sister business www.kiwicountryclothing.ie opened in 2012 on my return from New Zealand where I had been living for 14 years.
As a middle aged lady with scleroderma and underlying Lupus issues, I have to say that possum and possum merino have made the difference of my being able to have a near normal life… as opposed to never being able to enjoy the outdoors in winter time.
Our client base ranges from outdoor workers, especially farmers, vets etc .. hunters and fishermen. The life-stylers, hill walkers and those who love country style winter fashion. Horse racing events and generally people who apricate quality ethical clothing.
However, in recent years there has been a significant progression of our business to assist those with underlying health issues and who find life very challenging in Wintertime.
In 2016 Cork University Hospital approached us to say that they had been trialling some of our products on their clients and the results were uniformly 100% successful… pain was significantly reduced and the damaged body part got instant warmth from the gloves, or mitts etc.
In the intervening timeframe, more and more medical specialists refer clients to us; amputees, post trauma/accidents, people who have been through chemo and radium treatment and now have nerve and pain issues in their extremities.
Queen Elizabeth, Shane Mc Gowan, Joe Schmidt and a varied host of people now benefit from our products and we get great feedback from so many people, letters and cards of thanks and appreciation for our products and excellent customer service.
We endeavour to catch type-2 diabetic men before their skin starts to break… as our socks will significantly reduce the possibility of lesions occurring. However the sock have proven, again and again, to assist with healing of skin, especially cracked heels (very common with framers and those who wear rubber boots etc) and chilblains.
We do not have the benefit of clinical trials (massively expensive) but feedback, photographic proof and reviews on the websitr bears testament to the intrinsic benefits of our products.
In the case of amputees, we make bespoke for their particular requirements… I have seen some terribly distressing injuries and lost body parts… we design bespoke made to measure cups and caps and sheaths to cover the exposed limb, to provide protection and instant heat.
We offer a world-wide service and are a first anywhere in the world to do what we do.

Since Covid in 2020, we are happy to see anyone by appointment but also can provide a full service via phone chats, photographs of specific body area needing attention. Normally it takes one – two weeks to make a bespoke product and one week to post to you.. sometimes we can have it to you in less than 2 working weeks.
