Rossmore Forest Park
Located on the outskirts of Monaghan town, Rossmore Forest Park boasts an array of forest and lakeside walks along with history, nature trails, viewing points, picnic areas, toilet facilities and a car park. Most pathways are suitable for all fitness levels and abilities. Set in the 320-hectare demesne of Rossmore, you can view the site that Rossmore Castle once stood. You can easily spend most of a day here, fueled with a picnic and hot drinks from The Coffee Doc situated in the main entrance carpark. You’ll find a surprise or two along the way with the Giant’s Sculpture Trail, the walled garden, mausoleum, pet cemetery, and much more, nestled within the forest.
